Postural Training for Sports Clubs

The training I wish I had as a professional athlete.

Welcome to a different way of understanding your body and how it moves. Postural training is about getting the right muscles to do the right work. It is a fundamental requirement for the body to move as efficiently, powerfully and effortlessly as possible, regardless of sport.

The body is remarkably good at finding ways to compensate. We can often run fast, hit hard and perform at a high level even when certain muscles are not working as they should. The problem is that other muscles then take over tasks they were never designed to perform. In the short term this often works, but over time it can lead to poorer movement quality, an increased risk of injury and reduced performance. It also becomes much more difficult to reach your full potential.

The earlier we teach the body to use the right muscles, the better the foundation for long-term athletic development, performance and injury prevention.

My Experience

For several years I was one of the strongest tennis players in Sweden and trained more than 30 hours a week. The problem was that I had become an expert at compensating. Despite all that training, my body was far from balanced and nowhere near its full potential. I spent much of my career injured, and after retiring from elite sport my physical problems only became worse.

I know what it feels like to train hard and strive to perform while being limited by a body that isn't functioning properly. That is one of the main reasons I am passionate about helping athletes build a strong, functional body from the very beginning.

Over the past year I have worked with tennis clubs, boxing clubs and football clubs in Sweden. I have also delivered workshops at a national sports centre in Uganda and worked with clubs in Norway. In addition, I work individually with athletes from sports including handball, running, gymnastics, dance and figure skating.

Workshops for Sports Clubs

Most clubs begin by inviting me to deliver a workshop introducing the fundamentals of postural training and optimal muscle balance.

Athletes learn practical exercises that help activate the right muscles and create better conditions for strength, speed, balance and endurance. The goal is for both the club and its athletes to leave with practical tools that can be used during warm-ups and integrated into regular strength and conditioning sessions.

If you would like to continue working together after the workshop, we can create a collaboration that suits your club's needs.

Individual Athlete Assessments

For clubs or athletes who want to take the next step, I also offer individual assessments. I perform a full-body assessment to identify compensation patterns, weaknesses and areas where the body is not functioning optimally. Based on the assessment, each athlete receives a personalised training programme designed to build a more functional body and create better conditions for their sport.

My Vision

I wish more young athletes had the opportunity to learn this early in their sporting journey. I truly believe many injuries could be prevented, allowing more athletes to continue developing and enjoying their sport for longer.

It would not only improve performance but also increase the enjoyment of sport, strengthen the sense of community and contribute to better overall mental well-being.

Let's Work Together

Would you like to learn more or book a workshop for your club? I'd be happy to discuss a programme tailored to your club's needs.

I myself was a former elite athlete and have played in the elite league for several years.

In addition to training, I go through individual analysis for those who wish.
After 12 years of rehabilitation, I play tennis here together with Andre Göransson, ranked 21st in the world.
