Camino de Santiago
Walk with me along the historic Camino de Santiago—an experience where you get to know Spain and Portugal like a local, a hiker, and a pilgrim. Since the 10th century, pilgrims have walked towards Santiago de Compostela, on a journey that for more than a thousand years has united people from all over the world in the search for meaning, stillness, and community. It touches you deeply, no matter why you choose to walk it.
For many, it becomes an adventure filled with encounters with people from around the world—each with their own story. And because not everyone has the opportunity to walk for an entire month, I’ve selected my absolute favourite parts of the Camino and put together two different trips—sections I’ve walked myself and love the most.
I’ll take you to small, historic, and authentic villages where time seems to stand still and everyday life still moves at its own unhurried pace. We travel in small groups, which makes it possible to truly experience the local culture, traditions, food, and sense of community—what makes this walk so special.
Previous travellers have said: “You really get to know this part of the world—its culture and beautiful surroundings—while walking a route as historic and original as the Camino de Santiago. Claes as a leader creates a wonderful sense of togetherness.” That’s exactly the feeling I want you to experience too.
Curious to learn more? Read more about each route below, and feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. The trips are organised 2–3 times per year. Buen Camino!
