Camino Frances - Alto de Cebreiro - Santiago de Compostela
Come with me on this walking tour where you will get to know Spain as a local, hiker and pilgrim. Where I will take you to small, historic and cozy villages and show you my favorite part of the Camino. We are a small group of 8-12 people which also makes it possible to get the local feeling that I offer and makes this trip so special. When I asked the previous travelers, the answer was consistent for everyone ” You really get to know this part of Spain and its specific culture and beautiful surroundings while walking such a historic and original walk as the Camino de Santiago and Claes as a leader creates a fantastic sense of unity. It is my goal that you will always feel that way when you take this journey with me.
about the trip
September 22-28, 2025
There are various reasons to walk a "Camino", but the Camino del Norte is in my opinion the most beautiful pilgrimage and you have the Atlantic Ocean as your closest neighbor for much of the time. The journey begins in Cantabria and one of Spain's most beautiful villages Santillana Del Mar and ends in the picturesque village of Ribadesella in Asturias. This hike gives us the best of all worlds; Sea and rivers, magical beaches, mountain ranges, green forests, idyllic countryside and picturesque medieval villages. Add to that all the lovely hikers you meet, a fantastic inviting culture and delicious food and we have the perfect destination. To avoid boring roads, I have ordered transport for 2 days that takes us about 15 minutes from hotel to the start of the hike. Other hikes we walk from hotel to hotel. AfterWalk is promised every day where we meet together in a relaxed way and celebrate the completed hiking day. I go through tomorrow, info about the next place, Spanish culture and Spanish "language café" every day and have a nice time together.

I will meet you at the airport in Porto and then we will drive about 20 minutes to the city and our hotel. Afterwards, anyone who wants to can join me on a city tour where I will show you the most important sights in the city center. Of course, I will also show you the cathedral, the starting point of this Camino...
